What began as a personal experiment, evolved into a layered study rooted in the collaborative strategy through the lens of the board game Blokus. Pixelated Grids explores structure, randomness, and color through collective play. With each of four players contributing their own colored pieces, every board becomes a shared composition—an unrepeatable snapshot of collective decision-making. Over time, 100 individual game boards were documented and layered, revealing unexpected patterns and visual harmony born from chance and collaboration. The result is a vibrant, evolving tapestry that blurs the line between play and design and embracing both the constraints of the grid and the unpredictability of human choice.
